As a form of investment, I've decided to re-build a holiday rental in Dominican Republic. Being abroad (currently living in the UK), I struggled to locate and land a quote from different architectural firms/construction planners. I found online about A4 architects, and got in touch with them... The response time and professionalism was exceptional. We've met via Zoom and discuss about the project and the location/plans of the property (they speak English, Spanish and Italian!). We've landed the design, and they've sent me an itemised detailed breakdown of the construction materials, construction timelines and potential delays (depending on few factors). Everything was very transparent. For me, the most important thing was the good communication during the process, and the weekly updates. A4 uses a modern system called BIM architecture that allows you to see the modelling of your building and real-time updates during construction. This was key to ensure transparency, and a way to keep track of my investment from abroad (It can get really stressful not knowing or not being able to be there all the time!) and this made it vary simple to track. I was really pleased with the final outcome, good quality materials, well within budget, and no major issues. I've visited the site only twice, the day I met the architects/contractors and signed the contract, and the day I received my holiday rental keys! 100% recommend.
