This place holds a special place in my heart because of my childhood and the specific moments I experienced there. It's not the same anymore; the community doesn't gather there as often, and the lagoon even dried up for a time. We've all moved on with our lives, but the memories of "the old lagoon" live on in the hearts of the people who live in this community. 🤍⏳
It's a small nature reserve about five kilometers from the city of Higüey where you can find fish, coots, turtles, palmchats, and sometimes the occasional wild duck. Although not very large, it's a good place to visit for people who want to be in contact with nature. To get there, take Club Rotario Street, which leads to the road where the newest cemetery in Higüey is located.
A place to enjoy nature, listen to the birds singing and breathe pure, natural air, 15 minutes from the city of Higüey.
Very good and pleasant with the family
It looks abandoned and neglected.
