The personal is RUDE. I have to say my experience was so/so. The check-in process was awful. Jean was lost and Gheiddy was rude. They weren't helpful and made us ready to leave the hotel. Furthermore, it was 3:05pm and we were told we had to wait longer to get the room. Our room didn't get ready until 4.30pm when the check-in time is supposed to be at 3. We were provided a room and before we checked in, it was changed. Then, the key wasn't working. We had to go back to get it activated. They mixed up our personal information during check-in and my Melia information is attached to my sister's information. The bell boy that we had was acting like he didn't want to help us at all and that he was bothered. The fridge wasn't working, we called multiple times for the issue and no one addressed it (even when we were told that someone was on the way), we had the green button on to receive room service and we didn't. It was my birthday and I spoke to several people at the concierge desk (Franklin and Andres) and I was told that the hotel doesn't celebrate birthdays anymore. I even requested to receive the information for their outside vendor which I've never received so I was unable to have something done for my birthday. I ended up getting a cake from outside myself Angela was helpful and had them sing happy birthday to me at my dinner reservation and she sent me a bottle of champagne in my room. I travel alot and I take the time to review hotels for future travelers. The hotel is very beautiful and clean but for the service alone that I've receive, I would never recommend someone to stay at this property, The ONLY great part of my experience was the ladies at the buffet. They were always smiling, ready to help and genuinely cared. Yafreisy deserves ALL her flowers and the 3 ladies working with her. Yafreisy always greeted us with a smile, made sure we were all set and she even had them sing happy birthday to me a desert. She is AMAZING and they truly deserve all their flowers! She is the only reason why I even considered giving my review 3 stars. She deserves 10 stars.
Very nice all-inclusive resort with beautiful pools and great location by the sea. The resort offers several pool areas, including an adults only section, several restaurants, coffee shop, a small store, evening entertainment, etc Modern and clean rooms providing most amenities you need during the stay. The rooms has a complimentary mini-bar which is supposed to be refilled every day but at least during our stay it was not. Wine bottle part of the minibar, but no opener available in the room. Pool towels provided and the pool bar has a good selection of drinks. The buffe restaurant is excellent providing a large variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some difficulties to get cutleries and coffee gives a lower score on services. The mexican BlueAgave restaurant provides great service however we expected the food to be more spicy or having more flavors. The rock bottom is the Flora restaurant offering traditional dominican food. It was extremely difficult to get a reservation at this restaurant, still it was not half full when eating there and despite many empty tables we were placed at the ”worst” location. We asked to change table and were allowed to do so but with very grumpy staff as a result. Food was average, service almost acceptable although the waiter looked like she just wanted to end her shift, and after finishing main course we were told they did only have one dessert left. The location and facilities are top class but there are many annoying small things missing or areas with low quality services which gives the lower overall grade.
Enjoyed a great steak dinner at Mina Steakhouse at the Paradisus Palma Real resort. Enjoyed top sirloin, mai tai, cheesecake, and a couple sides. Everything was great, including the service which was by a gentlemen named Roberto who was very attentive and cheerful. The resort is fantastic, clean, with an amazing location on the beach ,with friendly staff everywhere you need them. The Lunchbox buffet was a highlight for food. The only con was room service food which was under satisfactory, but it didn't affect the overall experience. We also enjoy great live music in the evenings and great swimming options with plenty of nearby attractions.
This was our first time in Punta Cana and we were initially concerned that the reviews were incentivized but the positive reviews turned out to be true! We felt everyone was really kind and genuine. First shoutout to Santo at Flor- he was very warm and provided us an amazing Mediterranean lunch at Sante. Our rooms were spacious and clean. Food was great- buffet had a wide selection for all meals and reservation required restaurants were decent quality: Mina steakhouse (would recommend skirt steak and picanha) Flor (recommend the flower basket, slow cooked ribs) Sante ( recommend the salmon, octopus salad, heard the shrimp rice was good too). The spa was pretty good- thank you to my masseuse Dorka who was so nice! The beach was amazing. Definitely the highlight. We had access to affiliated Melia resorts. Overall this is an excellent deal. The only thing that left us feeling off and disgusted was one of the girls in our group had her check out card labeled as Kim II Joong. This didn't feel like a reflection of the hotel chain as a whole but whoever wrote that should be held accountable for being unprofessional and frankly racist. Maybe it was an honest mistake, but the room number was correct. We felt no discrimination during our stay except for this instance.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Angelo absolutely MADE our experience. From the moment we got to our Bali beds, he treated us like VIPs—so attentive, so kind, and genuinely happy to take care of us. He kept the drinks coming, checked on us at just the right times, and somehow always showed up exactly when we needed something. His customer service was next-level—friendly, professional, and so thoughtful. You can tell he truly cares about making guests have an amazing time, and he went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, relaxed, and enjoying every minute. If you’re lucky enough to have Angelo taking care of you, you’re in for a 5-star experience. He’s a total standout and a huge reason our day was perfect. Thank you, Angelo—you’re incredible!
