We were incredibly lucky to find Papaya Tiki Bar Punta Cana on New Year’s Eve. Like every year, we wanted to welcome the New Year on the beach. In the evening, we went to Los Corales Beach, but nothing was happening there — it was dark, quiet, and most restaurants and bars seemed closed. We walked along the beach hoping to find something open. I was ready to turn back, but my husband suggested we keep going — and thank goodness we did, because that’s how we discovered this amazing place. The bar is right on the beach, open, with music and a great atmosphere. There were already a few people sitting on the terrace. We found a table with a sea view and ordered margaritas and mojitos — and that was another wonderful surprise. The drinks were absolutely perfect. The mojito was made properly, with plenty of fresh mint, real sugar, and club soda — not from a pre-made mix. The margarita was just as perfect. Our waiter, a guy from Peru, was incredibly kind, attentive, and truly outstanding. As midnight approached, more and more people arrived, and the atmosphere became really lively and fun. We were so happy to have found such a great place to welcome the New Year. I highly recommend this bar, especially to people who appreciate perfectly made cocktails (no shortcuts, no pre-made mixes) and want to have a great time. This place is simply fantastic!

Beautiful environment, delicious cocktails, and kind and attentive staff! The piña colada I had here was by far the best of the trip. Can’t recommend enough!

In the top best bars I’ve ever been to! The drinks were top tier… great selection and taste. Bartender super cool and kind. And the most beautiful setting and experience right by the ocean. Wow. Grateful to God!

We visited Papaya several times during our trip to the DR. After a while, the all-inclusive resorts started to feel repetitive, so we decided to venture out—and we’re so glad we did. Papaya quickly became one of our favorite spots. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and Samil truly makes the experience special. He’s incredibly friendly, remembers his guests, and takes real pride in what he does. His cocktails are expertly made, creative, and consistently delicious. Finding Papaya was a highlight of our trip, and it’s the kind of place that keeps you coming back.

Just the most amazing little beach bar….Unpretentious. Amazing music. Everybody is simply having a ton of fun. Drinks and fun people and great music right on the beach…. What more is there to life!
