We travel every year and have stayed at many resorts, but this one truly stands out. Everything here is perfect. The animation team is simply the best of the best. They bring so much energy, fun, and positivity to every day, making the whole experience unforgettable. A very special thank you to BARBIE and SHAGGY from the animation team. They are absolutely amazing, so kind, genuine, and full of heart. They made our stay extra special and always made us smile. I truly hope Barbie can come visit us in Canada one day! We also want to thank the best bartender LASIER and YUAN. Their drinks were fantastic, but even more than that, their service and warmth made every visit to the bar a pleasure. These four people deliver true 5-star service, but what makes them exceptional is how genuinely wonderful they are as people. They clearly care about the guests and make everyone feel welcome. Thank you for such a memorable stay, we will definitely be back!
Outstanding Service at Ocean Blue & Sand – Special Thanks! We are currently enjoying a fantastic stay at Ocean Blue & Sand in Punta Cana, and I want to recognize three team members who truly made our experience exceptional. First, a huge thank you to Rayner Guerrero and Daniel de La Rosa at the Privilege Pool. These two are absolutely outstanding. From the moment we arrived, they greeted us with genuine smiles and incredible energy. They work nonstop making sure guests are comfortable, drinks are full, and everyone feels welcome. What really stood out was how attentive they are — they remember what you like, check in often without being intrusive, and bring a fun, upbeat atmosphere to the pool area. Their service is fast, friendly, and professional, and they genuinely make the pool experience feel special. They are a big reason why guests want to come back. We also want to recognize Rafael, our room butler, who has been equally amazing. Rafael has gone above and beyond throughout our stay — always available, incredibly courteous, and extremely attentive to every detail. Whether helping with reservations, checking in to make sure everything in our room was perfect, or simply making sure we had what we needed, he made the entire Privilege experience feel seamless and relaxing. His professionalism and warm personality truly stand out. Service like this is what turns a good vacation into a memorable one, and these three gentlemen represent Ocean Blue & Sand extremely well. Thank you Rayner, Daniel, and Rafael for making our stay so enjoyable. We hope management recognizes what a fantastic job you are doing — you are a huge asset to the resort!
We are having the pleasure of Privilege service at this resort for the week. Service quality is outstanding. There is times it can be a bit slow especially at restaurants, but this it clearly due to low staffing levels as you see the staff constantly hustling about and still with smiles. This is only in comparison with the Playa Del Carmen location we stayed at last year. Daniel has been exceptional (who serves at the Privilege pool side). He is always ensuring you are well fed a quenched. Albin who was our concierge, has been very prompt to any request and made sure all restaurants were booked for the whole week and even booked our massages for us. We are enjoying our week alot.
This was our first time at OBS and Dominican and we came in from Alberta Canada, so a long flight. We arrived before check-in, we were graciously allowed to grab our bracelets and start partaking in resort activities/food/drinks upon arrival which was appreciated coming off a red eye flight. The staff are amazing. We did not go privileged only thing we noticed was we weren’t able to do the breakfast on the beach and privileged drinks by the pool which was fine. The resort is beautiful and well taken care of, small enough to walk but they also offer a shuttle. My only negative is that they do need to take care of their animals they have a lot better. They have cats but definitely under fed aside from the tourists, bringing food however pinky then becomes territorial and pecks them and takes their food, which is sad. They have an app you’re able to download, to see everything that’s happening on the resort, quite optimally found ourselves in the lobby bar being served by Santiago! He’s all smiles. The blue team+++ , Shaggy/Barbie will be sure that you have a good time while you’re there!! The white party+++. The beach is maintained! We will be back 🇩🇴🪂🦩🌴😆
Our family of 3 had a great one week stay. Hopefully this review helps you make a decision on whether to go here or another place. Pros -The beach is top notch with little seaweed, nice view, and soft sand. -The pools are very large with ample space. -The staff was very friendly and helpful except for the hostess at the Margarita mexican restaurant. -The food at the steak house and the Japanese restaurant were the best. Worth making reservations for, but you have to do it right when the systems open at 730 am or you wont get a reservation. The buffet food was better then we expected, better than other all inclusive resorts we have been too and the buffet wait staff was very attentive and polite. -Our room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Cons - So they have nightly entertainment but the start times were like 930 pm. Most resorts we have been too start earlier than this and what we would have preferred. -The music blasting out at the beach at times for the activities they try is just too loud at times, a complaint among a number of other beachgoers. -Even though you adk for drinks that typically come with alcohol ie a banana mama or a pina colada for example, you have to make sure to ask them to put alcohol in it or if you forget you often you get it without alcohol. I find this odd as we are at an all inclusive resort and expected alcohol in them. Wouldn't it make sense to only exclude alcohol from cocktails if one said no alcohol? You just have to remember to ask every time. -You have to be out to the beach by no later than about 630- 7 am to get a spot under a shade tree or you are screwed. Then the full sun loungers are a bit hit and miss depending on when you get down there. The pool is tough to get loungers under the umbrellas as well unless you get there early. There are signs saying no reserving chairs, but everyone is doing it really early then leaving. -The bbq meat at Route 66 is hit and miss. One night the brisket was excellent (moist, well smoked) and the next night it was TERRIBLE in that is was largely burnt on one side, and dry as a bone on the other.
