Bought some nice Brugal rum here to take home that wasn't at the airport duty free so that was a bonus. The chocolate shop here is a must go to.....lots of flavors...buy some cocoa powder and cocoa tea....yum. Very friendly staff that don't chase you around the store to buy stuff....

Wonderful little shops with friendly people, and lots of tastings! We tried cigars, rum, chocolate, coconut products, and there was coffee tastings available. A nice gift shop at each spot to take home some of what you sampled. If you'd like to try some of that the Dominican Republic has to offer, I highly recommend stopping here!

This is a total tourist trap, a scam!!! Wish I could get that time back. The whole place smelled like being in a cigar bar as people were smoking in every one of the 5 "stores". There was one very cheap souvenir store where there were no local wares being sold. All seemed to be from China. We didnt see anything chocolate being made or any education about the history of chocolate. There wasn't a true museum. Same thing for coffee. No actual roasting was being done. Unable to sample coffee. Just buy sight untested. The rum was horrible. I think it was all cheap rum that was infused with very flavors. Do yourself a favor and go to a market with local vendors and local products. Wish I could give it a zero!!!

It’s a tourist trap ! The only thing cool about it, was how they do the cigars (cigar demo). And since I am not a cigar expert I would advise to read the other reviews regarding their cigar quality!? Be careful as well with the ride back to the hotel, (pharaoh)they lie about their pick up time and we got stuck for an extra 2 hours comparing to what they promised! I would advise the owner not to park his Porsche car in the front of the building and charge the same prices of his products as if costumers were buying it in the US. I can get the same stuff delivered to my door step in Chicago same price or a bit cheaper!
