Was directed to this shop by the turisimo agent at the hotel. I usually check reviews before visiting any stores but this time I forgot and kind of got scammed. As the other reviews say the prices are not consistent and some items are way overpriced. For example they sold the 1lb Santo Domingo ground coffee for 15$.(Which I layer found is much cheaper). When I came back to the hotel and did the calculation to find out I was overcharged. I reported this to the person at the hotel who arranged us to go there and he asked the store to send a receipt of items price by price but seems like they would not respond back nor the agent responded back. PLEASE AVOID GOING TO THIS SHOP AT ALL COST. Its better to buy items from the shop inside the hotels.

Nice little "free transport" outing organized by our concierge at our resort. Lots of items to choose from, which is great. But, no price on any item. By the time we were all done looking and time to check out, we got a huge shock at the total. Definitely go elsewhere for buying souviners. Our resort had very nice shops to choose similar items from. (And with prices)! Won't be back here on our next visit.

Do not waste your money in this place. The hotel sent us here, claiming we were going to a marketplace. Do not buy cigars from them; they are fake/counterfeit. I bought a case of Dominican cigars by Mr. Fuente $290 as a gift to my son. The cigars were fake. When we opened the box, you could tell they were fake. The wood of the box was cheap. The logo was as if it was glued to the box. There was no certificate of authenticity. The cigars were loose inside, and the wrapping was loose and missing the seal. I ended up disputing the purchase with my credit card company. It is so sad that this happened; it makes you not want to go back to DR.

We visited Jireh Souvenir Shop in Punta Cana after our tour guide offered us free transfer from and back to the hotel — which was definitely convenient and well-organized. The shop has a decent range of typical Dominican souvenirs like magnets, jewelry, rum, coffee, and cocoa. So far, so good. However, we were really disappointed by the lack of transparent pricing. There are no price tags on anything. The staff just tell you a price on the spot, and it felt very inconsistent and random — like they were making it up as they went. We bargained for a better price on some rum and thought we got a good deal... until we saw the exact same bottles at the airport for much less. In the end, we paid more than if we had just bought some magnets at the hotel shop and picked up the rum at duty free. Bottom line: I don’t recommend taking the trip to this shop. The free transfer may sound appealing, but you’ll likely end up overpaying.

We went here by hotel resort transportation and thought it would be fun. It was very fun looking around. Until prices turned from $56 to $100. We asked for a refund, they wouldn’t give it to us. They will rip you off. It is a scam and they are stealing your money. DO NOT BUY THINGS!! Be careful.
