I would not consider this an English-friendly resort. Most workers do not know any English, this includes service staff and even security officers. This made ordering, checking in, and generally asking for help difficult. I wouldn’t have noted this as a problem if Iberostar did not advertise the location as English-friendly As for the room, the shower didn’t have a door and water would constantly get all over the bathroom. The toilet was inconsistently functional and fully stopped being able to flush by the 6th day. The water also had an odd smell in the bathroom. Limited water activities, less than what was listed. The only option was really kayaking which required an additional fee to do. Food and drink were great. Most staff were still friendly, although some waitresses were rude. The add-on shuttle service workers had poor communication and were also impatient with us and we were constantly given conflicting instructions on how to set up our return flight transportation.

We are having an amazing time at Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites. The food is incredibly delicious and service has been great (for the most part - minibar sometimes not stocked without having to call, and face washcloths are hard to come by). We have a terrace room, and the lounger is one of the best spots to relax with a bit of privacy. The pools and grounds are very well kept. Btw, Natalia from Cool Wagon Bar was 10/10 for making drinks! Siboney, ice cream bar and Star Cafe staff deserve a special shout out too :)

Perfect!......... This place exceeded our expectations. It is our 3rd. Iberostar resorts in the past 7 years and all were fantastic. Excellent value for your money. Great location. Great selection of food and drinks. Room cleaning service was very good. Pools were wonderful but could have been a bit warmer (ocean was actually warmer than the pools). The beach was great for long walks. Being able to also use the Iberostar Waves Dominicana (Iberostar's other resort) made this vacation even better. It was nice being able to use their facility as well (pools, bars, restaurants, nightly entertainment, etc..) it felt like you get two resorts for the price of one! If you get up early, don't miss the sunrise .... Spectacular! I really don't think there is a bad room in this resort. It has beautifully maintained landscaping throughout the entire complex and uplighting on most palm trees at nighttime. A relaxing vacation with a very Caribbean feel about it. We felt very safe walking around this resort at any time day or night. So glad we picked this resort. We can't think of a bad thing to say about it, and it definitely deserves a 5-star rating from us!

This was our 4th time to Iberostar Selection and we will definitely be returning again. The staff are very friendly and make us feel like we are home, recognizing us from our previous stays. The grounds are beautiful as well as the beach. They do a wonderful job at keeping the beach clean which is very evident walking on the beach past the Iberostar and seeing how the other resorts keep their beaches. Rafael at the buffet and the French restaurant was outstanding. He knew what our order for coffee would be every morning and served it before we asked. He was very attentive and friendly. It was a pleasure meeting him. Gheremy was our ambassador for our entire trip and was excellent in accommodating our requests. His service made our stay seemless. It was so great having someone so attentive to communicate our needs to. He always followed through and communicated with us every morning, asking if we needed anything. This was a game changer. Manny helped us to clean up some issues that we had with our room and followed through making sure things got done. Judith our housekeeper did an outstanding job. Pina and Pablo made the pool games and bingo so much fun and made us feel like part of the family. Diva did an excellent job with aqua fit. Great work out everyday!! We had a very pleasant conversation with Patrik in lobby one day asking some questions regarding the buffet. He took the time to converse with us and was very pleasant to talk to. We took a walk daily on the beach to meet Randy at the prestige bar. Great guy and plays great music. He even took our requests! Loved his singing. He made it a fun and up beat atmosphere We had a great time during our two week stay. Can’t wait until next year.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Iberostar Selection Bávaro. The resort is beautiful, very well maintained, and located directly on a stunning beach with soft white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water. The service truly stands out: the entire staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional, making you feel welcome from the very first moment. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable, offering everything you need for a relaxing vacation. A real highlight is the sports program at “Fit & Fun”. It is diverse, well organized, and suitable for all fitness levels. Whether you enjoy classes, training sessions, or active relaxation, there is something for everyone. Special praise goes to the animation team, which is always cheerful, motivating, and pleasantly unobtrusive. In particular Fresa, Lulu, Pantherita, and El Nino made our stay even more enjoyable with their energy, friendliness, and genuine passion for what they do. The food was also excellent, with a wide variety and very good quality, both at the buffet and in the à la carte restaurants. Overall, an outstanding resort with a wonderful atmosphere. We would happily return and can highly recommend it!
