First time in Punta Cana, staying precruise. Verynice hotel where we stayed on the fourth floor with a balcony. Rooftop pool and a smaller pool downstairs with a small bar. Walk out to a nice maintained beach with plenty of room but beware there is a boat ride business next to the property and can be noisy with outboard motor boats launching from the beach. It wasn't a big deal for me but I guess some people could find it problematic. The staff at this hotel really made our stay memorable, very friendly and attentive! Shout out to Ysmairi at the sky bar and Naomi at the Italian restaurant for being so kind and friendly.
The hotel is nice and overall we had a good stay. Pros: • The room was very beautiful with a nice balcony and great view. • The AC worked well most of the time. • Breakfast was good and we could always find something to eat. • The pool was open until 9 pm, which was a big plus and allowed us to enjoy it in the evening. • Good Wi-fi Cons: • One night ice suddenly fell out of the AC and woke us up. The ice had mold on it, which was disturbing, and this happened again in the following days • The food at the japanese restaurant was so-so • The beach water looked quite dirty and there was sargassum even in December (I know it’s not hotel’s fault but I didn’t go in the water) • The walls of the rooms are very thin, so we could hear everything from other rooms and the hallway; there was constant noise. • On one day there was drilling for a long time and we couldn’t take a nap • On another day they were working on the elevator and it was again very noisy • On the street in front of the hotel there was wastewater flowing on the road, which felt unpleasant and a bit disgusting. If you want to go to restaurants or call Uber, you’ll have to walk through that road • There were a lot of vendors nearby and on the beach who constantly approached us to sell things, which felt a bit harassing. Personally I wouldn’t choose this hotel for long stays, but for 2-3 days it’s fine.
My girlfriend and I stayed for a week and we were at the hotel for New Year's. We don't tend to stay up late but we did wake up for a wonderful fireworks display at midnight! I've listed some thoughts below but one thing we really liked was the loungers on the beach. We could always find a seat except for one for twice. They tend to fill up around noon for a couple of hours but other than that there is a good amount of space. Even if you can't find a spot on the beach there is always plenty of space at either of the 2 pools. We preferred the rooftop infinity pool - very quiet and private. The TV is a smart TV with all the apps (Apple, Netflix, Prime Video, etc). Some of the apps were already signed into accounts, some not. The TV might have been old - we had to restart it a few times but worked fine most of the time. We loved all the restaurants available in the area - we visited many but probably not enough. The Supermercado Ciccolella was a handy store we visited a few times, with a great selection of beer/alcohol, chips, and many other essentials. One thing many people have noted and we also experienced: when it rains, the street outside the hotel floods - sidewalk too! Definitely wear your plastic sandals on those days! We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would recommend it!
The positives; Location is right on the beach. They also have two pool areas. Dining is available on property. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The room and public areas are kept very clean. Many other bars and restaurants are within walking distance. The hotel is quiet at night and removed from the noisier strip. Strong security presence 24 hours a day. The negatives: The bathroom was dark. The ceiling fan was noisy. The food at the restaurants is average, at best. The only road leading to the hotel was flooded due to rain, which means Uber and taxis needed to drop you off two blocks away. This means guests needed to walk through ankle deep, dirty rain and sewage water to get to the hotel. This is not the hotel’s fault but something to be aware of.
A small and intimate gem right on the beach, with great security and direct access to the sand. Despite its size, the hotel surprises with two restaurants, two bars, and an incredibly kind and attentive staff. Rooms are cozy and well-equipped (bonus points for the drying rack!). Breakfast is rich, creative, and made with fresh ingredients — and the background music soundtrack at both breakfast and the pool is simply perfect. The rooftop pool is a highlight — crystal-clear water and a beautiful view. We had an issue (beyond the hotel’s control), and the staff went above and beyond to turn things around. Truly impressive service! Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t have a parking lot and the street is very narrow.
