Punta Cana Express really stands out among transportations in Punta Cana. The service is excellent, the bus is modern, and station is well maintained with good facilities. It takes 2.5 hours to reach the stop north of Zona Colonial, another 20 minutes to reach the final stop. The return trip to the final stop in Friusa is 40 minutes longer due to over a dozen stops in Punta Cana. They accept credit cards now. At least for that Sunday when I took it, arriving at the starting station 10 minutes before the departure was sufficient. I got there at 6:00 for the 7:00 but per the recommendation that I read online. The risk of no vacancy is virtually zero because the bus picks up people at two stops after departure. If it were out of seats at the start, it would not be able to accommodate the the two stops in Puna Cana. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I think they can stop the bus at any spot that you request.
500 pesos per person. Very clean and comfortable bus.
Punta Cana Express was waiting for us at the airport when we arrived and was on time picking us up from the hotel for the return to the airport. We had our own van each way. Very clean. Approximately $74 round trip compared to the hotel recommended transfer at $180 round trip. Would definitely use again.
Fantastic company. Only beef, no advance purchase of tickets.
Buses are very comfortable but the customer service is the worst. People talk to you like you are a child. They won't agree on stuff either, one person will tell you different information on the bus schedules or if you can board or not. Also the ladies' restroom doesn't have toilet paper.
