We are a well travel family, 4 times a year in DR and this place is a ripe off. They said 7pm live music was on it's way... by 8h45pm nothing. The Arugula, strawberry, goat cheese turned into a cheap salad with melon and pineapple they tried to convince us that sone oat were walnut... overall the restaurant look good and waiter nice but they are trying to take advantage of tourists
We ate here a total of 3 times. The shop and the cigar club is the same business. The atmosphere is great, especially at night with the lights and live music. Staff is wonderful, but the service is so slow. They take forever just to bring your drinks and the ones in the shop take forever to process your transaction and figure out your change. While all the staff were nice, one of the girls had the nerve to complain about how certain nationalities don't tip, even though they already charge a service fee. The crecsents in the store were dry, but the food in the restaurant was good, despite the limited options, but it's SO EXPENSIVE! We were paying between 30 and 60 US for meals with drinks, including the 18% tax and service. These prices are absolutely crazy for the DR, especially for pizza and chicken! I was always told this is a cheap country, but it really isn't.
I had a delicious Dominican breakfast here, and everything was full of great flavor. The service was really nice—everyone was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The vibe was cool and relaxed, making it a great spot to start the morning. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy good food, unwind, and take in the local atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area!
We experienced quite a long waiting time, and the staff seemed only semi-motivated. The breakfast itself was good, but we had vouchers for it and they tried to charge us additional tax, which is a really frustrating issue you run into often in the Dominican Republic. The coffee, unfortunately, tasted pretty weak and watery. Overall, an okay breakfast, but the service and the extra charges definitely took away from the experience.
By far one of the worst restaurants I’ve gone to, terrible customer service and didn’t take accountability for their terrible quality of food. I ordered churrasco grill, the mash potatoes were fine but the meat was so tough and uneatable. At the most I ate 2/3 pieces of meat and I tried eating more. It was so chewy I spit it out and left it on the plate. After addressing the waiter with the issue he claimed I ate most of the meat when in fact I left the chewed meat on the plate. I asked him if they could make another one he said no. So I asked him for a discount since I only ate the mash potatoes. The waiter said they’d apply a 10% discount to my check but never did. The fact they didn’t tried to correct it nor just remove the meat and just charge me the side of mashed potatoes is upsetting. Churrasco is around $30, so I ate 3 pieces of meat and a side of mash potatoes for $30. Crazy, I don’t recommend anyone to come here if you’re looking for good quality food or quality service. Lastly, an additional waiter came when I was paying and said to the other waiter and person who was checking me out. “I tried the meat it’s tender, she’s lying” while I was standing there. Rude.
